Day 06 – Jaipur – Samode
In the morning drive to Samode. Samode is located in the regal Indian state of Rajasthan and around 42 km away from capital city Jaipur. This tiny village is famous for its havelis, fort & handicrafts. Visit – Samode Palace: – Displaying its regal grandeur with frescoed walls, it is one of the most impressive palaces in entire Rajasthan.
Inside Samode Palace visit Sultan Mahal with a wonderful hall has a gorgeous marble pillared verandah. The room is adorned with blue tile work and the walls are ornamented with patterns painted with vegetable dyes.
Visit Durbar hall, which is quite like the other hall is painted with elaborate floral designs and colored delicately with vegetable dye. Also take a tour of the Hall of Mirrors, which as the name suggests, is a hall decorated with tiny fragments of mirror on the walls.
Samode Bagh: – was constructed by Rawal Sheo Singhji more than 400 years ago and is modeled on the geometric style of Mughal Gardens. Airy Pavilions, rippling water fountains, and gracefully furnished tents are the major attractions of Samode Bagh.
Samode Fort: – This medieval relic seems like a sentinel standing on a hill above the Samode Palace. King used to stay in the fort when Samode Palace was not built.
