Day 1: Arrival Leh
Welcome to Phyang Monastery Festival Tour! Indian Rove representative would receive you on day 01 (i.e. 11th July) and transfer you to a hotel. Rest of the day is for getting acclimatized to the local climate. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Leh Sight Seeing
On 2nd day of your Phyang Monastery Festival Tour, you have the entire day for Leh sightseeing. Visit Shey, Thiksey and Phyang monasteries. Thiksey is one of the beautiful monasteries in Leh whereas Phyang Monastery belongs to the Red Hat Sect of Buddhism. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Leh - Sumur (Nubra Valley)
On 13th July, you would drive to Nubra through Khardungla pass, the highest motorable road in the world. The place is situated at a distance of 37 km from Leh. On reaching Nubra, check-in at the pre-booked cottage. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight at the cottage.
Day 4: Nubra Valley Sight Seeing
On the day 4th of Phyang Monastery Festival Tour, you would visit Hunder village to explore white sand dunes. Later visit places like Diskit and Hunder monasteries. In the evening, you would go to Samstaling Monastery founded by Lama Tsultrim Nima and is 132 years old. Overnight stay at the cottage.
Day 5: Sumur to Leh
After having breaskfast, we would drive back throughKhardungla pass the world’s highest motorable road. Explore the Leh market where you can buy curios, antiques, souvenirs, etc in the evening. Also visit Leh Jokhang or Leh Mosque by foot. Overnight stay at the hotel at Leh.
Day 6: Leh Sight Seeing
On 16th of July, you would visit places like Spituk monastery, Stok Palace and museum, Leh Palace, etc. Overnight stay at the hotel at Leh.
Day 7: Full Day at Phyang Festival
On 17th July, you will drive to Phyang Monastery and watch the amazing Phyang festival. It is one of the important Buddhist festivals celebrated every year in the month of July. Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
Day 8: Leh to Uletokpo
On the 8th day of Phyang Monastery festival Tour, you will drive to Uleytokpo. Along the way, you will visit Alchi monastery. After lunch, explore the scenic village of Mangyu. Overnight stay at Uleytokpo camps.
Day 9: Excursion to Lamayuru
After having breakfast, you would proceed to Lamayuru monastery. Afterwards, you would also visit chulichan Monasteryand Rizong monastery.Overnight stay at Uleytokpo camp.
Day 10: Uletokpo to Leh
On the 20th July, you can drive to Leh en route visiting Likir monastery. Another fabulous destination you would visit isStok Palace and museum in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11: Departure
Transfer to Leh airport and board flight for the onward destination on the 21st of July. This the end of your fantastic Phyang Monastery Festival Tour.
